Hettie Holestin, age 93, of Turtle Creek, WV, died November 20, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Boone County, a homemaker, a member of the Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church of Turtle Creek, and a member of the Boone County Genealogical Society.
Hettie was preceded in death by her husband, Elliott Holestin and son, Robert R. Damron, and two sisters, Virgie (Pauley) Pritchard and Shirley (Pauley) Pritchard. Hettie was the daughter of the late Evert “Green” Pauley and Fairlena (Miller) Pauley.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Elswick) Stocker and her husband Wenzell Stocker of Cedar Lake, Indiana and Connie Sanders of Hurricane, WV; seven grandchildren, Mark Damron and wife Terri, Susan (Damron) Parker and husband Bill, Lisa (Damron) Dolan and husband Dean, Elizabeth (Damron) Hill and husband Patrick, John Elswick, Kara (Sanders) King and husband Rodney, Melissa (Sanders) Steele and husband Sam; thirteen great grandchildren, five nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV, Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with Tom Bias officiating. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
