Hubert Jessie Clay

Hubert Jessie Clay, 78, of Branchland, WV died Monday November 18, 2024. He was born July 4, 1946, a son of the late Manuel and Agusta Clay. He retired from CSX railroad and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening , along with watching the Martins..

He was also preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Mae Clay; and two brothers, Edward and Harold Clay.

He is survived by his children, LaDonna Clay Johnson (Tim), Hubert Jessie Clay Jr., David Lee Clay (Gina), Andy Ray Clay (Diana), Jennifer Anna Terry (Greg); siblings, Duane, Timmy, Bobby, Laura, Vickie and Joyce; 14 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday, November 21, 2024 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with Tom Frye officiating. The burial will follow in the Watson Cemetery, Branchland, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
