Ida Bragg Lovejoy of Sias, WV was met with angels on December 5, 2016.
She would always testify I am on my way to Heaven and the angels carried her home. She was 95 years and 10 days old. She was the daughter of Golzie and Vernie Lovejoy Bragg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lovejoy, and infant sons Jesse Jr. and Ray Gene. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Clay (Elbert) and Ada Linville (Kermit), two brothers, Hansford Bragg (Ermal) and Sherman Bragg (Bethel).
She was a lifetime member of Palermo United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for over 60 years. She retired from Lincoln County Schools as a custodian at Fez Grade School. She was a positive influence on numerous children and young adults. She grew up in a time when neighbors helped neighbors. She was always letting her light shine while sitting with the sick, running errands or whatever she was called upon to do.
She had people who were very special to her in her life, great niece Robbie Brewer, great-great niece Nancy Scott and great-great nephew Kevin Brewer.
The family would like to thank her caregivers at Lincoln Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for taking her in and treating her like a family member.
