Ida Mae Moore Parks 80 of Madison WV passed away peacefully in her bed Monday, February 26, 2024.

She was born September 1, 1943 to Roy Elmer Moore and Callie Lusk Moore, she was the fifth child of nine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers; Thomas Moore, Henry Elmer “Jud” Moore, Earnest Connie Moore, Noah Douglas Moore and John Moore, and one sister; Chattie Lee Haynes. 

Those left to mourn her death are two sisters; Dana (Ronnie) Gibson and family, and Jessie Sheffield and family, two sisters in law; Gerty Moore and family and Earling Moore and family and a host of many friends.

She was a born again Christian and a member of Jarrells Valley Church for many years.

She was also a foster parent to Jack Dewayne Moore her nephew when he was small and his daughter Ashley Moore. Two children; Ronnie and Melanie Holiday. 

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Ronnie Gibson officiating.  

Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
