Irene Bertha McComas, 86, of Mifflin, WV passed away Saturday June 6, 2015.
Irene was of Hungarian decent and a graduate of Sharples High School. She enjoyed spending time cooking, fishing, and traveling with her family. Those who knew Irene will cherish the memories of the meals she prepared and the kindness she always showed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Clyde H.; brothers and sisters, Ambrose, Jimmy, Stevie, Rosie and Helen.
Irene will be missed by her children, Clyde Jr., John (Debbie), Julie (Rocky) and Stevie (Doris); grandchildren, Little Clyde, Matthew, Little Rocky (Micah), Rebekah (Eric), Amanda (Adam), Tegan, Tabitha, Chelsea, Steven; great-grandchildren Nicholas, Brady, Wade, Matthew,
Carson, Carly, Montgomery, Kolson and Roxson; brother, Billy; sister, Margaret; sisters-in-law, Beatrice and Garnett; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Memory Gardens, Madison with Nathan Craddock officiating.
Friends may call beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV.
