Irene Wilhoit, 94, of Danville, WV passed away December 16, 2016 at home in Ridgeview.
She was a retired clerk with the Boone County Sheriff Department and a member of Danville First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Minta Minnie Stollings Ellis; husband, Gordon Wilhoit; sisters, Ruby Allemond Copley, Eleanor Hill, Jackie Harless and Carol Gibson; and brother, Howard Ellis.
She is survived by caregiver and niece, Kelly (Jim) Jarrell of Ridgeview; special grand nephew, Jacob Jarrell of Ridgeview; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2016 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Geoff Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
