James Holbrook

James C. Holbrook, 85, of Clothier, WV, passed away April 5, 2025.

James is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Holbrook; grandchildren Jason Craft, Linzy Spears and Kenneth Spears.

He is survived by his children Teresa Ellis and Pearl Finley; grandchild Carly (Easton) Fowler; great grandchildren Miles Craft, Kyleah Jarrell, James Jarrell and Terrence Spears; Brothers Jerry Holbrook of Martinsburg, WV, Robert Holbrook of Logan, WV; sisters Ida Faye Barker of Jeffrey, WV, Brenda Cross of Tennessee and Emma Jean Hager of Georgia, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

James was retired from the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam conflict, and was a member for many years of Spruce Laurel Church. 

Services for James will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2025, at Spruce Laurel Church in Clothier, WV, with Ralph Caudill and Paul Little officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow at Family Gardens, Madison, WV.
