James Broaddus Lorrison, 57, of Danville, WV passed Monday, November 17, 2014 following a short illness.
“Jimmy” as he was know by his friends, was born September 2, 1957 and was the son of Broaddus and Anita Lorrison and grandson of the late James and Bonnie Lorrison and Verda and Opal Ratliff.
He is survived by his parents; a brother, Rex Lorrison; a sister, Sandra Lorrison; a step-daughter, Holly (Terry) Weaver; two step-grandchildren, Katie and Morgan Weaver; and nieces and nephews.
He was the owner and operator of Jim’s Heating and Cooling for 13 years. He was a coal miner for 27 years and a member of the UMWA. He was also a retired member of the Brothers of the Wheel.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Tom Price, Tom Bias and Timmy Spratt officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the funeral home.
