James Robert McCleese, 72, of Ottawa, WV went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2021 suddenly.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lizzie Ervin McCleese and father James Isaac McCleese; his wife, Regina (Jeannie) McCleese; his son, Patrick McCleese; sisters, Betty Fraley, Louis Dillion, Nancy Tince, Eunice White, Mary Dotson and Ann McCleese; brothers, Paul and Charles McCleese, Jr.
Those left to cherish his memories are sons, James C. (Jamie) and Charles D. McCleese of Ottawa, WV; daughters, Crystal Akers of Hastings, FL, and Joie Hager of Madison, WV; sisters, Gaynel Workman of Bob White, WV and Ella Workman of Greenup, KY; granddaughters, Kristen Evans of Hastings, FL, Ashley Browning of Orgas, WV, Victoria Akers of Hastings, FL; grandsons; Drew Hager of Madison, WV and Aaron Hager of Mud River; great grandsons, Mason and Asher Hager and Kamden Browning of Orgas, WV; and great granddaughter, Raelyn Hager of Mud River, WV; along with several other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2021 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Rev. Joe Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Tabor Cemetery, Bias Branch.
Friends may call one prior to the service.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic CDC guidelines, will be observed, with mask and social distancing encouraged.
