James T. McFann

July 13, 1951 — October 25, 2015

James T. “Jeff” McFann, of Winifrede, WV born July 13, 1951 to Ray and Helen Dolores Kitchen McFann in Ironton,Ohio, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Dunbar Center.

He grew up in Carbon on Cabin Creek. After graduating from East Bank High School, he was employed by Carbon Fuel Industries as foreman and owned the Midway Mart for a short time in the 80’s. Jeff’s valiant efforts in rehabilitation following a severe head injury in 1991 allowed him to return to work with Verizon until increasing head injury residuals forced him to retire in the early 2000’s.

Jeff was a beloved son, brother, and friend. He was a fun loving jokester and a serious card player. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. He never met a stranger. He always maintained a positive attitude, never gave up hope and never complained.
