James Edward Murphy 57 of Racine, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 2, 2019 with his family by his side.
He was born July 13, 1961 and graduated from Sherman High School. He was employed by Pugh Furniture in Charleston, WV.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Debra Murphy; and his sons, Sgt. Eddie Murphy of NY, and Gary Murphy, of WV; daughters, Cassie Murphy and Crystal Nelson both of Bloomingrose, WV; brother, David Murphy; and sisters, Veronica Ford of Bloomingrose, WV and Donna Rose of Marmet, WV; grandchildren, Austin Barker, Chase Harper, Valerie Nelson, Maddie and Memphis Carter, and Phoenix Murphy; a very special nephew, Jacob Skeens as well as many more special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by Edward and Helen Murphy. James was loved by all and will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Racine Methodist Church, Racine, WV with Robert Perdue, Jr. officiating.
