James Lincoln Music, 84, of Danville passed away Friday, November 10, 2017.
He was born March 8, 1933 and was a son of the late Beecher and Manerva Music. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Wands; brothers, Matthew Music, R.C. Music, Beecher Ray Music, Ismal Music, and Charlie B. Music; sisters, Freda Poore, Ressie Music and Thurbe Music and Mattie Marie Music.
James was a U.S. Army veteran. He attended Greenview Church of Christ. He was a retired foreman with San-Con Construction.
He is survived by his sons, Timothy and wife Sheila Music of Danville, Rickie Music and companion Joleta of Burlington, NC, and step-son, Jimmy Stevens of Kannapolis, NC; step-daughter, Patricia Marcum of Ottawa, WV; brothers, Gilbert and Helen Music, and Delbert and Joann Music all of Nippa, KY; sister, Virgie Sandler of Mechanicsburg, OH; grandchildren, Earl and Michelle Hilt III of Fremont, OH; great-grandchildren, Earl Hilt IV and Gabrielle Hilt of Fremont, OH; also surviving is his loving companion of many years, Betty Powell of Greenview, WV.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Delbert Music officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville. Pallbearers include, son, Rickie Music, stepson, Jimmy Stevens, grandson, Earl Hilt III, great-grandson, Earl Hilt IV, Brute-Ronnie Gibson “BOTW” and Biggin-Chalmer Halley “BOTW”
