James Edmond Quintrell, 84, of Hamlin, WV, passed away March 22, 2014 at his home. He was born February 2, 1930 a son of the late Ernest and Essie Wade Quintrell. He was a Korean War veteran and was employed at American Car Factory for 35 years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a his sister Katherine Stickler; brother Emil Quintrell; and a grandson Jason Quintrell.
He is survived by his wife Shelby Jean Adkins Quintrell; two sons Allen Wayne Quintrell and Darrell Lee (Diann) Quintrell; brother Estell (Edna) Quintrell; two grandsons Michael Quintrell and Joshua Darrell (Rachel) Quintrell; a granddaughter Brittany Quintrell; a great-granddaughter Riley Quintrell; and a sister-in-law Eva Quintrell, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday March 24, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV with Mark Terry officiating. Burial will follow at Bowling Cemetery, Teays Valley, with military graveside rites by American Legion Post 111 of Hamlin, WV. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
