James Darren Ramey

James Darren Ramey born July 17, 1967 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 27, 2022 at his residence in Huntington, WV. Darren was a beloved father, son, brother, Pappaw and uncle. Darren worked for years doing Drywall and he loved spending time with his family, his devoted dogs and in his garden.

Darren was the son of James H. Ramey of West Hamlin, and Linda and Lee Shrader of Salt Rock, WV; one sister, Stephanie Napier of West Hamlin, WV; two daughters, Amanda Ramey (Jason Ball), Makensie Ramey (Ian) all of Huntington, WV; one grandson, Charlie Ball; one nephew Brandon Napier (Samantha) of Ranger, WV; one niece, Emily Napier of West Hamlin, WV; two great nieces Peyton and Alaina Ramey of Ranger, WV.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Virgil and Inez Ramey of Ranger, WV and Norma Lambert (Brady) of Huntington, WV, and Kay Clay of Ranger, WV.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with JR Nelson Officiating. The burial will follow in the Virgil Ramey Cemetery, Ranger, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
