Janet Napier

Janet Napier 85 formerly of Coal Valley, Clothier, WV left her earthly home June 6, 2023 and entered her heavenly home where her husband Robert Napier was waiting for her.

Besides her loving husband she was preceded in death by her father and mother Roger and Thelma Avery also her father and mother in law Jones and Carrie Napier as well as five brother and four sisters.

Janet was a God fearing woman who loved everyone and read her Bible daily. She was of the Baptist faith and loved playing piano in church.  Her family was her twinkle in her eye, her grandchildren and great grandchildren knew exactly what it is meant to be loved by a granny.  She loved them unconditionally and showed them and told them every time she called or saw them.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter in law, Robert and Bonnie Montgomery of Sumerco, WV; three grandchildren, Bonne and Dale Scott of Coal Valley, WV, Robert and Christina Montgomery of Columbus, OH, and Amerie and Wiley  Kent of Abingdon, VA; eight great grandchildren, Tyler (Paige) Scott, Kerra (Jacob) Barnett, Robert Scott, Paige Kent, Emilee Kent, Logan Montgomery, Hunter Montgomery, and Miley Kent; one great great grandchild, Asher Barnett and one great great grandchild expected in December; one brother Butch Avery; sister Brenda Whitaker; and sisters in law. A special person who she loved like her own Trista Price, as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2023 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Harley Egnor, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Indian Grave Rd. Danville, WV.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
