Jennifer Diane Holeston, 41, of Danville unexpectedly departed from us on Sunday, September 17, 2023. She was born in Charleston, WV on May 30, 1982, to Edison and Karen Holeston and was a 2001 graduate of Faith Christian Academy in Van.
Jennifer was artistic and loved to paint and draw. She was also an avid animal lover. Jennifer and her mother participated with B.A.R.C. helping to rescue and foster stray animals in Boone County for many years. One of her beloved dogs, Oasis, was found as a stray while helping with B.A.R.C. In recent years, Jennifer enjoyed spending time at her family’s camp in Greenbrier County where she enjoyed taking a ride through the woods to look at wildlife or just sitting by a campfire to enjoy the peace.
Jennifer is survived by her parents Karen and Edison Holeston, sister Kimberly (Chris) Perdue, nephew Kalvin Perdue, grandparents Barbara Miller and Iris Holeston, special aunt Barbara (Ray) Jewett, as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and a few close friends.
Per Jennifer’s wishes, she will be cremated. The family will hold a graveside service at Hill Cemetery in Julian, WV once arrangements have been completed with Bishop Stephen Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Boone Animal Rescue Coalition by mailing to PO Box 536, Danville, WV 25053 or by PayPal to barc_wv@yahoo.com and to mark it as "In honor of Jen Holeston". Arrangements are being handled by Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV.
