Jennifer Lynn Scott

October 1, 1965 — March 22, 2025

Jennifer Lynn (Graley) Scott, 59, of Alkol, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 22nd.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Scott, brother Jeff Graley, aunts Francine & Geneva, dear friend Martha Goode, and stepson & friend Dennis Scott.

Jennifer was a faithful Christian woman, and did her very best to honor God through helping others whenever she could. She loved western movies, wintergreen mints, Diet Pepsi, and attending and volunteering at church events at Olive Missionary Baptist Church where she attended regularly when her health would allow it.

"It's not what you take when you leave the world behind you. It's what you leave behind you when you go." - Randy Travis, Three Wooden Crosses These lyrics rang true, as Jennifer believed in leaving the world better through acts of kindness. To use her own words, she'd never met a stranger, always greeting & treating others as warmly as though they were old friends. She built a legacy of love. That legacy is not one of blood, but of bonds built stronger with time. As a result, she will be honored and missed by many.

Jennifer is survived by daughter Zephyr (Deidra) Broadwater and husband Adam Broadwater, cousin Larry "Budge" Paris and wife Kim Paris, and a host of "found family": Robin Gabbert, Ryan Belcher, Seth Antill, James Goode, Joyce & Bill Saul, Nick & Valerie Loftis and children, Paula Finney & family, Peggy Ryan, Rita & David Elkins, Janet & Danny Collins, and so many more. There will be no service, as was Jennifer's preference prior to her passing.

In lieu of sending gifts or flowers, the family asks that you perform random acts of kindness to honor her memory.
