Jimmy Daniel Baldwin, 76, of Sharples, WV went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 13, 2015.
He was a retired UMWA miner from Sharples Coal. Jimmy was part-owner of a Tupperware dealership in PA for 12 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Above all, Jimmy was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Monclo Freewill Baptist Church, he witnessed his faith with a twinkle in his eye as he shared his love for Jesus, daily, by the life he lived. Everyone who knew him considered him to be a loving, sweet and humble man.
Jimmy was the eldest of 11 children born to the late Hassell and Edna Nelson Baldwin. He was also preceded in death by his beloved son, Jimmy Daniel, Jr.; sisters, Ilene and Ruth Baldwin; mother and father-in-law, Otey and Fronnie Stover; and brothers in law, Frankie (Hooper) and Terry Stover.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 54 years, the love of his life, Toby Baldwin; his daughter, Shelia (Dennie) Staines; three precious grandchildren, who shared a piece of his heart, Jimmy Daniel Baldwin III, Angel Mae Baldwin, and Lacie Nicole Staines; brother, Norman (Karen) Baldwin; sisters; Doris Carter, Frances Smith, Rosetta (William) Sutphin, Catherine (Richard) Ball, Bethelene Ball, Brenda (Boyd) Elkins, Linda (Ronnie) Kinser and Terena Davis; brothers-in-law; Michael (Linda) Stover and Rocky (Julie) Stover and sister in law, Brenda Stover. He had many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly.
Jimmy will be forever cherished and missed by a large family and countless friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with Joe Lane and Dennie Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
