Jo Ann Calhoun

Jo Ann Calhoun, 81, of Madison, WV passed away November 27, 2023 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV. 

She was born July 21, 1942 at Standard, WV to the late John and Virginia Cantley Rothwell.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Jerry Dean Calhoun, Sr.; and four sisters.

She attended Gospel Center Tabernacle in West Madison, WV.

She is survived by her son, Jerry D. “Jay” Calhoun (Beverly) of Pikeville, NC; daughter, Lissa Jo Loftus (Jimmy) of Foster, WV; grandchildren, Haley Dellinger (Travis), Kaitlyn Calhoun (Scott), Tera Gordon, Tabatha Hill (Cliff), Deven Clark (Jessica), and Katrina Williams; great grandchildren, Jacob and Caleb Dellinger, Aubrey and Clayton Eppard, Kenadie and Emmett Gordan, Dawson, Walker and Delaney Hill, Adelyn and Kellen Clark; great-great granddaughter, Charlotte Dellinger; brother, John Rothwell (Katy) of Madison, OH; sister Joyce Vancamp of Madison, OH; and special friend, Janet Clark.

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 2 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Tony Vance and Keith Casto officiating.  Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park on Indian Grave Road, Danville, WV.  Those serving as pallbearers: Deven Clark, Cliff Hill, Jacob Dellinger, Caleb Dellinger, Scott Andrews, and Travis Dellinger.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. on Saturday until service time.
