Jo Ann Mitchell, 77, of West Madison, WV passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 16, 2013.
She was born November 2, 1935 and was a daughter of the late Marion and Myrtle Vanhoose of Bandytown, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Ray (Ruth) Vanhoose of Sissonville, WV.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jackie C. Mitchell of West Madison; daughter, Patricia A. and husband Orsel K. Walker of West Madison; grandchildren, Joetta F. (Randy) Halstead of Madison, Kenny M. Walker of West Madison; one great-grandchild, Wade Halstead of Madison; one step-great-grandchild, Taylor Halstead of Bob White; three brothers, Jerry (Mary) Vanhoose of Foster, Benny Vanhoose of Peterstown, WV and Ronny (Bea) Vanhoose of Bandytown; and one sister, Alice Faye (Jim) Doherty of Forney, Texas.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Phil Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in Mid-Ferrell Cemetery, Bandytown.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
