Joan Carole Thompson, 74, of Camp Creek Rd., Ridgeview, WV passed away Friday, April 29, 2022.
She was born April 3, 1948, a daughter of the late John and Molly Kinser. She was also preceded in death by daughter Teressa Thompson-Bryant; granddaughter Charity Jo Workman; special aunt Delia Workman; sister Mary Kinser; and brothers Bobby Kinser and Glenn Kinser.
She is survived by son Darren Thompson of Huntington, WV; daughter Darla Stowers (Shane) of Ridgeview; brothers George Kinser (Paula) of Florida, Randall Kinser (Christie) of Chapmanville, Dale Perry (Cathy) of Pensacola, Florida and Greg Perry of Dunlow; sisters Barb Conley (Homer) of Chapmanville, Diana Robinson (Willie) of Harts, Donna Thompson (Darrell) of Harts, Linda Hensley of Logan, Karen Adams (Ralph) of Chapmanville, Kathy Dehart of Logan, and Joyce Knipp of Logan; grandchildren Trista Lanquist (Johnathan), Shaelyn Stowers (Tyler), and Reece Stowers (Kylie); great-grandchildren Braden, Trey, and Jase Lanquist, Bryson Workman, Leland and Joseph Ooten and Raiden Stowers; other surviving relatives, Andrea May who was like a granddaughter to her plus a host of nieces and nephews.
She loved watching TV, spending time with her grandchildren, and drinking her coffee.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 6 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Thompson Branch Cemetery, Harts, WV. Pallbearers will be Joseph Sperry, Shane Stowers, John Kinser, Reece Stowers, Braden Lanquist and Trey Lanquist.
Visitation be from 1 p.m. until service time.
