Jody White, 53, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at his home in Danville.
He is survived by his son, Joseph W. White, 26; his daughter, Jasmine N. White, 18; his two brothers, Dellas “Punkin” White and Willard White; and his sister Julonda White.
Jody was born to Dellas White and Joann McNeely in the town of Madison, West Virginia on February 4, 1964.
He was a retired coal miner and an avid hard worker. He was known to many as a plumber, electrician, landscapist, and your go to handy-man. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his dog, Jade and his pet parrot, Pretty Bird, as well as an ice cold beer with his friends Jimmy and Leon. He loved to fish with his son Joe, pick moochers, dig various kinds of roots, and spend time with his other family, Charles Dickens, Tiffany Galloway and Ivy Galloway. Among his talents he was also a good band mom and soccer mom. Jody was a firm believer of taking life by the horns and living it to its fullest. He spent most of his time enjoying a bit of a laugh at the expense of his daughter. But no matter what, he loved both of his children above all else. He was loved dearly by everyone around him for his ability to make them laugh no matter the situation and his rebellious and fun loving nature. He will be missed dearly.
