John Wood II transitioned to be with our Lord on March 13, 2015.
He, with his brother Curt (Richard) of Nitro, WV, the only surviving sibling, John was a native of Boone County West Virginia, and moved with his family in 1960 to New Haven, CT and resided there for 52 years. John was a short order cook for the Toddle House Restaurant New Haven CT for many years and his last employment he was a Baker for Dunkin Donuts, East Haven, CT before his injuries which left him unable to resume employment.
John was predeceased by his mom, Inis Thelma Wood Sikorski, September 2013; father, John W. Wood I, February 1976; sister, Glenna Wood Ferris, June 2013; and his brother, Jerry Wood, April 2006.
John has three children, John W. Wood III, Kenneth S. Wood and Natalie Wood Beck of CT; and one grandchild, Emily Beck of CT, Natalie’s daughter, which John loved all until his death.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Memory Gardens, Madison with Chad Lovejoy officiating.
