Johnny Ray Holstein 56 of Charleston, WV went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 27, 2013 following a long courageous battle with cancer at the Hubbard Hospice House surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine and mother Betty.
John enjoyed Nascar, hunting, westerns and his job at the Law Firm of Robinson & McElwee where he had many friends and was employed for 12 years.
Surviving are his daughter Dorajo (Mike) Messerly and two grandsons Caleb and Joseph of Soda Springs, Idaho; his father Johnny of Alum Creek; devoted brother and care giver Jack of Saint Albans; sisters Dreama Bradshaw and Cindy Dunlap (Scott) both of Alum Creek; and his treasured friends Keith and Kent George of Charleston.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Handley Funeral Home Danville with Pastor David Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
John’s family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Hubbard Hospice House as well as field nurse Mark Withrow for all their love and care for John and our family during his illness. We would also like to thank all John’s co-workers, friends and family for their love and prayers.
