Jon Gregory Abshire, 60 of Branchland, WV passed away Sunday August 28, 2016 at Lincoln Nursing and Rehab.
He was born April 16, 1956 a son of the late Alfred and Doris Belcher Abshire. He was a graduate of Guyan Valley High School and a member of the Guyan River Volunteer Fire Department. He was also preceded in death by a sister Belinda Butcher.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Sheila (Bill) Frazier, Sandy (Danny) Adkins, Bubby Abshire, Della (Doug) Prichard, and Michael (Chantell) Abshire; and several nieces and nephews and a special niece Dorothy Frazier.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday September 1, 2016 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with Timmy Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery, Brady, WV.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
