Josephine Smith 75 of Julian, WV went home to be with the Lord March 22, 2020.
Jo was born April 6, 1944 to the late Brady and Gladis Pauley. She was preceded in death by her twin sister Jacqueline, brothers Glen, Ray, Max, Freeman, Bobbie and Rexold Pauley.
Jo is survived by her husband of 56 years James Smith of Julian, sons; Jimmy (Donna) of Julian, Jerry (Janie) of Alkol, Jackie (Tammy) of Alkol, Jeff of Nellis and a daughter; Julie (Timmy) Wilburn of Julian. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren; Elijah (Heather) Smith, Samantha (J.W), Gay, Cody Smith, Kristen Wilburn, Hannah Smith, Jonarai Estep, Kayla, Josie, Allie Smith, Ru’Ann Smith, great grandchildren; Jayden, Brody Smith Brooke, John Gay and Olivia Wilburn.
The family would like to thank Hillcrest Nursing Home of Danville for the care they gave her and treating her like a member of their family.
A private family visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV
