Joshua Euell (Jughead) Bias, Cherished Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin, and Deer Hunter 41 of Foster WV passed away Monday July 24th, 2023 within his beloved WV Hills. Josh was born December 16th, 1981, in Huntington WV. He is survived by his Parents Deb and Kerry Coleman also of Foster, often referring to Kerry as the Brad Paisley Song would say “The Dad He Didn’t Have to Be” and his Father and Stepmother Rick and Opal Bias of Logan WV.
Josh was a Class of 2000 graduate of Chapmanville High School. He was employed with A.R.M Security, Founder of Calculated Killers, a writer for North American Whitetail Magazine, ProStaffer for Frozen Scents, Grandpa’s Special Mix, Twisted Oaks, onX Hunt, Deer Lab, Sitka Gear, Hunter Safety System, Spartan Camera, ElimiShield Hunt, & Ozonics Hunting, a Proud Member of WV Bow Hunter Association and the 2020 Winner of Whitetail Magazine Writer of the year, which he honored his mother with his words by saying..”Thanks Mom Love Ya, wouldn’t be possible without you. You gave me my personality, and my soul. Taught me early on, we gotta work for the things we want..like my first bow. You installed a lot of great things in me, by just watching you…battle alone to raise me…working four and five jobs at a time…I can’t ever remember you complaining…I never went without. I didn’t have everything like four wheelers and etc. but always had nice clothes etc. and most importantly, I never doubted once how much you loved me…and I’m thankful I have your heart…we get burnt a lot with it, but I can lay down at night and know, I treated everyone with respect that day whether they deserved it or not…You’ll always be my Hero…Don’t think I could have done what you did for so long, I love you”…
Josh had also spent several years as a West Virginia Coal Miner.
He is Proceeded in Death by his Best Friend, & Faithful Companion his beloved Dog Sadie Bird, his Maternal Grandfather Troy Bryant, Paternal Grandparents Bethel and Marie Bias, Special Uncle Ned Buckner which he loved like a daddy, Uncles Roger and David Bryant, and Brother by Choice Ronnie McPeters.
Along with his parents he is survived by Brother Nathan Bias of Logan WV, Adopted Sister Kaylan Coleman of South Carolina, and Adopted Brother Isaac (Cierra) Coleman of North Carolina, Step Siblings, Heather Hughes, Kerry Allen Coleman, and Amanda Haynes. And Special Nephews Jacob Coleman & Camden Shook
Second Mom, Special Aunt and Neighbor, Gaynelle (Sissy) Buckner, Cousin & Sister Brooke Buckner, & Aubree Boling to which he was known as Uncle Josh, all of Foster, Cousin & Brother Donald (Brandy) Buckner, of Ripley WV,
Maternal Grandmother Mary Rose Marcum, along with a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Dear Friends
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville WV with Pastor Harley Egnor officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the services on Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Steve Flores, Grant Bates, Bryan Bryant, Nathan Bias, Josh Berry, Isaac Coleman, & Tim Milligan.
Burial to follow at Danville Memorial Park, Indian Grave Road, Danville, WV.
