Joy Burgess Light

Joy Burgess Light, 39, of Chapmanville, formerly of Blair departed this life on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 and entered her Heavenly Home after a short illness.
She was born April 20, 1976, and was the beloved daughter of Barry and Kathy Miller Burgess. Joy was the mother of three beautiful children, Christian Light who is in the Army and stationed in South Korea, Elizabeth and Walker Light both of Chapmanville; and a granddaughter, Zoey. In addition to those mentioned above, she has a brother whom she loved with all her heart, Barry (Krystal) Burgess and their sons, Hunter and Asher. Joy also has a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will cherish their memories of her.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10 at Monclo Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Lane and the Rev. Dennie Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wed. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joy’s honor at the funeral home.
