Juanita Brumfield Cook, 87, of Quinland, WV was born November 25, 1930 and passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Cook and her father and mother, Alvin and Fleety Brumfield; two sisters and two brothers who died as infants; two grandsons, Andrew Myers and Brandon Spurlock; and daughter-in-law, Tonya Cook.
She was retired from the Boone County Board of Education as a cook for fourteen years at Van Elementary School. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Quinland, WV where she was very active in church work.
She is survived by two daughters, Regina Myers of Alkol, WV and Karen Vickers of Seth, WV; two sons, Mike and Yvonne of Sod, WV and Keith of Van, WV; two sisters, Gladus of Valley Bend, WV and Shirley and Jack Jarrett of Dailey, WV; two brothers, Frank of Jeffrey, WV and Lowell of Lake, WV; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews , relatives and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 12 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV conducted by Richard Runyon and John Duty. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison, WV.
