Juanita Mae Thomas

Juanita Mae Thomas, born on January 6, 1948, passed away on February 4, 2025.

Juanita is preceded by her husband Alfred Thomas, daughter Lisa McCallister, three brothers, two sisters, and her parents Norman and Lena Brown. 

Juanita is survived by her son Glen (Terry) Rutherford and her son-in-law Glen McCallister; grandchildren Dana (Patrick) Breeden, Justin (Brittany) McCallister, Leona Fields, Rebecca Rutherford, and Jeffrey Rutherford; great-grandchildren Riley Huffman, Brantley McCallister, Sydney Huffman, Carolyn Cook, and Scarlett Breeden.

Juanita was a member of Ashford Church of God Holiness. The family expresses their gratitude to the staff at Marmet Nursing Home for the exceptional care they provided Juanita during her time there.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 8, 2025, at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Randall Kinder officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery in Spruce Laurel, WV.
