Judie Tapley Hall

On the morning of July 10, 2014 Judie passed away peacefully after a four year battle with cancer. Judie was being comforted by family in her home in Madison, WV at the time of her passing. Judie was 67 years old.
Judie was born on April 8, 1947 in Madison, WV. She was the youngest child of seven of Elizabeth and Nathan Tapley Sr.
Judie was raised in Gordon, WV. She graduated from Van High School in 1965. Immediately after graduation, Judie began working for Shaffer and Shaffer Law Firm. She was hard working and dedicated. She also devoted a lot of her time to the WVU Alumni Association Boone County Chapter organizing the annual Pig Roast. Judie began her 50th year at Shaffer and Shaffer on June 2, 2014.
She is survived by her two children, Jason (Hannah) Hall of Bardstown, KY and Sarah (Matt) Abel of Morgantown, WV; and grandson, Lucas Abel of Morgantown, WV; two siblings, Nathan (Joyce) Tapley Jr. of Gordon, WV and Bess (Ed) Neminski of Greensburg, PA.
Judie was preceded in death by three sisters; and one brother.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Handley Funereal Home, Danville with Jerry Bias officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.
Following the memorial service, Judie will be laid to rest with her parents at Memory Gardens at Madison, WV.
