Karen Ann Ellis, 51, of Big Branch, WV passed away October 6, 2018 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV with her family and friends by her side.
Karen was born on August 7, 1967 in Madison, WV. She was preceded in death by her father, Ivan Gene Elkins; her loving husband, Gary (Boo) Ellis; brother Michael Gene Elkins; her mother and father-in-law Anna Jean and Golden Ellis.
She is survived by her mother, Ella Hazel Elkins (Leon Cook) of Bias Branch, WV; daughters Heather Doss (Tim Miller) of Spencer WV, and Chelsey Ellis of Big Branch WV; two granddaughters, Bella Doss of Big Branch WV and Chloe Miller of Spencer WV; her boyfriend of 4 years Dan Jackson of Big Branch, WV; her sisters Connie (Timmy) Rhodes of Big Branch, WV, Sharon Hager (Chuck Hauger) Of Washington Heights, WV, Debbie Terry (Anthony Baisden) of Mud River, WV, Melissa (Terry) Hager of Kannapolis NC; and Sheila Hatfield of Gallipolis, OH; sister- in-law, Charlotte Jeffrey of Jeffrey, WV; and a host of nieces, nephew and friends who loved her dearly.
Her service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Donald Buckner officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Cemetery at Missouri Fork Hewett, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
