Karu Ison 90 of Madison, WV passed away August 9, 2018 Hospice West, South Charleston,WV. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston, WV.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Arthur and Rosie Ison, sister; Jeanette Dollarhide and brother; Chavis Ison.
He was a mining engineer Massey Coal Co and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife; Mildred Neace Ison, son; Scotty (Kathy) Ison of Madison and granddaughter; Wendy Ison of Lexington, KY, several nieces and nephews.
