Kathy Lafern Baire

Kathy Lafern Baire, 64, of Madison gained her angel wings on August 6, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born August 27, 1950 and was the only daughter of the late Dennis and Pebble Brown (Jarrell) of Bandytown. Kathy has her parents and brothers, Ronny Hunt, Dorman Brown and Hulen “Phil” Brown waiting for her at the heavenly gates.
She was a loving wife to her husband, Jackie Baire; beloved mother to, Melissa Elkins and spouse Steve of Oceana, WV, Bryan Baire and spouse Kenny Beaudean of Rehobeth Beach, Delaware; loving grandmother to Alisha Vance and spouse Ken Vance, Katie and Andy Elkins. Kathy was to become a great-grandmother in December to Harper Jayne Vance. She also leaves behind a brother, Jerry Brown and wife Bonnie of Elkton, Maryland; and numerous family members who will miss her dearly. Kathy’s sense of humor and beautiful smile will be missed by all that knew her.
The family would like to thank the ICU nurses at St. Mary’s Hospital, especially Courtney who was very compassionate and caring during this difficult time for our family.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Phil Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in Mid-Ferrell Cemetery, Bandytown.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
