Landon Toppins

Landon Toppins 62 of Branchland WV was born on December 15, 1962 and went home to be with the lord surrounded by his family on February 14, 2025 at St. Mary's Medical Center. 

Landon was born in West Hamlin, WV and became an avid fisherman, and outdoorsmen from a young age. He soon developed a main passion for coon hunting. He knew how to do just about any hands-on job seeing as he worked in machine shops, carpentry, and construction. He was a loving husband to his beloved (survived) wife Brenda Toppins and the father to their (survived) children Crystal Thompson and Darren Johnson (Carrie). He is also survived by his two sisters, Darlene (Tom) Frye and Sharlene (Bob) Stuart; two brothers Hansford (Tearesa) Toppins, Barry Toppins (Matildia) and four grandchildren, Kaylee Thompson, Michael Adkins, Sarah and Andrew Mabry; eight great grandchildren Parker, Mason, Ava, Wrenley, Cooper, Greyson, Kayson and Paxton. He also has a host of niece's nephews, many friends and loved ones who cherished their time with him.

Landon is preceded in death by his mother, Loraine; father Scestell Toppins, one sister and four brothers whom he will see once again. 

Service will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home in West Hamlin, WV. Burial will follow in Adkins-Hager Cemetery Brandchland WV. 

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 18 at the funeral home.
