Larry Richard “Ricky” Ferguson Sr., 62, of Branchland, WV died Monday July 18, 2016 at home. He was born April 26, 1954 in Logan, WV, a son of the late Verlin “Pete” Ferguson Sr. and Sadie Gay Manns Ferguson.
He was also preceded in death by a brother Verlin “Lucky” Ferguson Jr. He was an equipment operator for CSX Railroad. He enjoyed riding, racing and his family.
He is survived by his wife Virley Parsons Ferguson; four sons, Larry Ferguson Jr. (Stacie) of Branchland, WV, Scott Ferguson (Cresta) of Proctorville, OH, Brian Ferguson and Austin Ferguson both of Branchland, WV; three daughters, Misty (Gary Joe) Adkins of Salt Rock, WV, Brittany (Tommy) Caldwell of Charleston, WV, and Keelia Ferguson (Cody Turley) of Barboursville, WV; brothers, Joey Ferguson of Kenova, WV; special brothers, Bill Frazier Sr. , Billy Manns and his special railroad brothers; sisters, Phyllis Sanders and Regina Lucas both of Midkiff, WV; grandchildren, Samuel Ferguson, Tazia Ferguson, Tyler Ferguson, Tarah Ferguson, Nicholas Ferguson, Lexi Ferguson , Ava Ferguson, CC Wilson, Carrie Adkins, Cameron Adkins, Jasmine Adkins, Thomas Caldwell, Nolan Richard Caldwell and Emily Sadie Kate Turley.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday July 23, 2016 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV. The burial will follow in the Ferguson Family Cemetery, Branchland, WV.
A visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Friday at the funeral home.
