Larry David Green, 70, of Madison, WV was born March 22, 1949 and went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lacy and Lillie Green; brothers, Stevie Green of Danville, Bobby Green of Hernshaw, William Green, Jimmy Green, and James Green all of Danville, Charles Green of Madison, and Albert Green of Florida; and an infant daughter, Tammy Green. He was also preceded in death by a step-son, Kenny Cook.
He was a disabled UMWA coal miner for 19 ½ years where he was an electrician for Peabody Coal. He had several hobbies: hunting and fishing was his favorite.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Loretta Green; two children, Mendi (Ray) Tomblin of Clothier and Kelly Green of Chapmanville; step children, Scotty (Erica) Sanney of Charleston, and John Pauley of Parkersburg; step-grandchildren, Scotty (Kelsie) Sanney of Virginia, Shannon (Lindsey) Sanney of Virginia, Michael Sanney of Colorado; grandchildren, Justin and Jeffrey Watson of Chapmanville, Billy Tolbert of North Carolina, Kayla Dent of Beckley, and Brooklyn and Johnathan Tomblin of Wharton; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She is also survived by sisters, Betty Donathen of Danville, Nettie Green of Danville, and Stacie Caldwell of Madison; and brother, Lacy Green Jr. of Beckley.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 3rd. at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Joe Lane and John Barker officiating.
