Larry David Hager

Larry David Hager, 48, of Greenview, WV passed away on August 12, 2024 at his home due to unknown causes.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Larry D. Hager; his grandparents; and an uncle.

Larry was born December 1, 1975 in Logan, WV. He came to live with his dad, Larry D. Hager and grandparents at the age of 8 years old. Larry graduated from Scott High School in 1993. He was employed by McDonalds in Madison, WV for 25 years.

He came to live with Retha Backus Bella, where he remained for 23 years. He spent his life making my grandkids happy. He loved to play games with these kids and he would let the girls dress him up anything that Kirsten, Cheynee and Mia wanted to do. He played games with the boys Brody, Chris, and Kendrick, but his heart was with the girls and staying with my son Johnny and Bri.

Those left to cherish his memory are Retha and Charles Bella; Johnny Grimmett and Sabrina Conley; Trena and Scott Epling; Carrie, Anthony, Clay, and his best buddies Kirsten, Brody, and Cheyenne Grimmett, Mia and Kendrick Clay, and Chris Epling; and a very special friend, Bobby White.

Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 19 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Allen Barker and Frank Ball officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 18 at the funeral home.
