Larry Eugene Nunnery II, 56, of Madison, WV passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024.
Larry was born to Larry and Janice Nunnery in Charleston, WV on January 10, 1968.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years Shawna Nunnery; sons Larry (Cheryll) Nunnery III and Jordon (Alyson) Nunnery. Daughter Trista Price; Granddaughters Lexi, Madyson, Quinn, Elizabeth, Adelyn; Grandsons Jaxon, Cliff, Grady, Tristin. Sister April (Chris) Lester; Uncle Jackson (Mary Beth) Nunnery; Brother-in-law Doug Browning; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and coworkers.
He is preceded in death by his parents Larry Nunnery and Janice Nunnery, his sisters Sherry Nunnery and Gina “Sissy” Browning.
Larry served 15 years as a medic for the Boone County Ambulance Authority where he helped to not only aid the citizens of Boone County but to also educate EMTs and Medics locally and throughout the tri-state. He was loved by all his co-workers, students, and patients. He served in the US Army. He was also a former member of the Madison Volunteer Fire Department where he earned the rank of Assistant Chief through his many years of dedication and service.
Larry was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, father-in-law, and friend. He will be remembered by those who loved him for his compassion, knowledge, and immense love for his grandchildren. There was never a game, birthday party, holiday, baby shower, or school event that Larry missed.
Services will be held at Handley Funeral Home on Monday, 11:00 am, December 30, 2024. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 am. Graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens in Low Gap immediately after.
