Laura G. Dickson, of Parson’s, West Virginia, born on November 2, 1959, in Charleston, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, unexpectedly after a brief illness in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Laura was predeceased by her dad, Jackie L. Dickson and survived by her loving mother, Marvagene Dickson.
Left to cherish her memories is her older sister, Tayna Blake (John), of Chesapeake, VA, sister, Jackie Kuhn (Kenny), of Waxhaw, NC, brothers, Mark Dickson (Tracey), of Charleston, WV, Jon Dickson (April), of Charleston, WV, as well as nine beloved nieces and nephews, six adored grandnieces and nephews, and a host of other family. In remembrance, is her oldest and dearest friend, Linda Kolb, of Charleston, WV and another special friend, Dianna Klapetzky, of Chesapeake, VA.
Laura graduated from Scott High School in 1978, belonged to Madison United Methodist Church and was a member of the Jaycees. She was well known for her giving spirit, creativity, her quick wit, and of course, her “red hair”.
A Memorial Service at Madison United Methodist Church is planned for Saturday, August 13 at 2 pm, with visitation from 1-2 pm. Handley Funeral Home of Danville, WV is assisting the family.
