Leon Halstead ll

Leon Halstead II, born on January 15, 1977, in Charleston, West Virginia, entered eternal rest on December 24, 2024, in Peytona, West Virginia. 

Leon was the beloved son of Leon Halstead Sr. and the late Mary Halstead. He was preceded in death by his devoted mother, Mary Halstead; his paternal grandparents, Bittle and Jacqueline Halstead; and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Elise White. 

He is lovingly remembered by his father, Leon Halstead Sr.; his brothers, Joshua Adam Halstead and Casey Lee Halstead; his sisters, Emily Ann Halstead, Elizabeth Marie Halstead, and Brooklyn Rose Halstead; as well as his nieces Mia Grace Nelson, Dixie Rose Nelson, and Sadie Lee Nelson; and his nephew Joseph Jerome Nelson II. Leon’s family brought him immense joy throughout his life. 

Leon found great happiness in the company of family and friends. He especially cherished his time at his dayhab program, where he formed meaningful bonds with Anna Dillon, Nora Johnson, and Monica Seals. These relationships brought him connection and fulfillment that enriched his days. 

Leon will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kind spirit and the love he shared with those around him will forever remain in their hearts. May he rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord.

Services will be Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Handley Funeral home in Danville, WV with visitation 1 hour prior.
