Lester Paul Lovejoy

Lester Paul Lovejoy, a lifelong resident of Hamlin, WV passed away on December 29, 2017, at the age of 79. Paul was the son of the late Lester Lovejoy and Elizabeth Zekany Lovejoy also of Hamlin. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Miller Lovejoy.
Paul is survived by his brother Vernon (Lori) Lovejoy of Morrison, CO; daughter Sarah (Karl) Brack of Charleston, WV; sons James Lovejoy of Hamlin and Robert Lovejoy of Aiken, SC; and grandsons Jordan Brack of Denver, CO and Dylan Brack of Charleston, WV.
Paul was born on April 9, 1938 in Logan, WV, graduated from Hamlin High School in 1956, attended Morris Harvey College and West Virginia University. In the military, he served with US Army Signal Corp in France, the US Army Band in Germany and with the West Virginia Army National Guard. He worked his entire career at Columbia Gas.
Paul’s ultimate passion and pastime was gardening and helping take care of his mother’s farm throughout the years.
A memorial service planned for February 2018 will be announced at a later date.
