Letha C. Carr

Letha C. Carr, 86, of Uneeda, WV, formerly of Fayetteville, WV, joined the circle of family in her heavenly home on June 16 due to injuries she suffered in a fall at home.

She was preceded in death by her dad and mom, Roy and Hallie Older Massey; her husband Joe Carr; and her two sons Dave and Tim Carr. Also preceding were her brothers Carl, Roy Jr., and David Massey as well as her sister Donna Hicks Workman.

Those left with her sweet memory are brothers Jimmy Dale Massey of Cottageville, Russell Massey of Gordon, Danny Massey (Lois) of Brooksville, FL; and sisters Janet LaLonde (Dick) of Gordon, Linda Elswick of Uneeda, Kathy Jones (Jerry) of Huddleston, VA, and Pat Nelson (Jim) of Madison. There are several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Letha recovered from an extensive illness in 2012 and needed full time care. Her sister Linda provided care with love and devotion until Letha passed on Thursday morning. She passed surrounded by her family in prayer and song, rejoicing in the promise to come.

Funeral services will be conducted by her nephew Pastor Scotty Elswick and brother Rev. Jimmy Massey with special singing by her sister Pat Nelson on Sunday June 19, 2022 at 2pm with visitation beginning at 1pm. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens on Low Gap Road, Madison, WV.
