Linda Lou Dingess

Linda Dingess, 65, of Alkol went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with lung cancer on Wednesday September 14,2022 while surrounded by loved ones.

Linda was a strong mother, the proudest grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She loved the simple, important things in life, and was one of the hardest workers you’d ever meet.

She was preceded in death by her parents:Troy and Jean Dingess of Alkol, WV; and her brothers Benny Dingess and Bill Dingess of Alkol, WV.

She is survived by her daughters, Shandy Dingess of Alkol, WV and Shana Dingess (Payton Hager) of Yawkey, WV; her siblings Rosa Linville of Foster, WV and Jeff Dingess of Alkol, WV; one grandchild that was the light of her life, Conner Searls of Alkol, WV and one little buddle of joy on the way, Brixton Hager; a very special niece & nephew Keairra & Hayden Linville of Foster, WV. She is also survived by a host of family and friends.

Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September, 17, 2022 at Handley Funeral Home Danville, WV with Brandon McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Yawkey.

Visitation from 1 p.m. until service time.
