Lois "Marie" Bowe

Lois “Marie” Bowe, 91, of Gordon, WV passed away on July 7, 2017 at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison, WV after a long illness. She was born May 24, 1926 to the late Clyde Bowe and Eva Blanche Woodrum Bowe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille Bowe and Rosa Fields; and brothers, Clyde Bowe, Jr. and Elmer Bowe.

She is survived by her children whom she made home with, daughters, Sarah Bowe (Gary Beckett) and Tammy Bowe, son, Bruce Bowe of Gordon, WV, son, Gary Bowe (Shirley) of East Peoria Illinois, daughter, Debra Ayres (Rick) of Peoria, Illinois; sisters, Delores Wagstaff of Washington, Illinois, Linda Walker of Sterling, Illinois and Cindy Welch of Tyler Texas; brother, Richard “Duke” Bowe of Lima, Ohio; grandchildren, Jason Ayres (Samantha) of Dunlap Illinois, Carrie Sager (Nate) of Decatur, Illinois, Gable Holderness (James) of Sobieski, WI, Cassie Forsyth (Jeff) of Parkville MO, Kelsea Bernasek (Jim) Bennington, NE and Cody Ayres of Peoria, IL; great grandchildren, Derrik Bernasek, Brayden Bernasek, Aiden Mohr, Aaron Mohr, Donovan Holderness, Eli Holderness, Spencer Holderness, Ryne Sager, Reid Holderness, Jackson Sager, Gehrig Ayres, Tinley Bernasek, Lincoln Sager and Trestan Forsyth; special nieces and nephews who were like her own children; and special cousin/friend, Shirley Keeney.

Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 11 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Phil Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
