She taught school in a one room schoolhouse in Ranger, WV, but gave up teaching to become a housewife and mother. She will be remembered for her beautiful crocheted neck scarves and baby afghans. Mom loved to make ham salad with her 100 year old grinder and give it away to her neighbors.
