Lonnie Ray McComas, age 62 of Portage, IN, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. He was born on December 6, 1953 in Logan, WV to Gay and Juanita (Toller) McComas. He is survived by his sons: Brandon McComas, Christopher (and wife Jennifer) McComas; brothers: Gary, Ronnie, Mike, Timmy; sister, Gay Jean and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry.
Lonnie graduated from Hamlin High School in 1972 at the top of his class. For over 30 years he worked as a Steel Worker at Arcelor Mittal Steel, Burns Harbor IN. Lonnie enjoyed classic cars and family get-togethers. He will be remembered as a great man with a big heart and a good sense of humor.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Handley Funeral Home, 7350 Lynn Ave, Hamlin, WV 25523.The funeral will be 11:00am Wednesday May 11, 2016 at Handley Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV. Burial will take place at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Hamlin, WV.
