Louie Gene Brown, Jr., 56, of Julian passed away on May 12, 2013 at CAMC Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born on May 6, 1957 in Madison. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lou Brown.
He was a 1975 graduate of Scott High school. He worked at Walmart at Southridge for 12 years and for Black’s Foodland for 28 years. He loved to hunt and fish and dearly loved his cats Tiger, Tiny and Baby girl. Gene was a Mountaineers fan and loved to watch them play. He was a wonderful husband, brother, son and friend to all that knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Pam Brown; dad, Louie Brown and his wife Norma; brother, Curtis and his wife Beverly; and step-brother, Eric Pauley and his wife Patty.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the nurses in SICU and 3 West for all the care you gave Gene and all your kind words. It will never be forgotten.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May15 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. David Bowman and the Rev. Chuck Gillispie officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park, Ruth, WV.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
