Lowell Thomas Ball

Lowell Thomas "Tom" Ball, 86, of Beckley, WV passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023, with his family by his side.

Tom was born April 23, 1937, in Greenview, WV to the late Wilson Ball and Vonda Duty Ball Brown. He was a grandson of the late Hugh and Mary (Bell) Duty.

Tom retired from Preiser Scientific as a salesman traveling through the coalfields of WV, Kentucky, and Virginia. He also worked for WVDOH from 1957-1960. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed Southern gospel music, quartet singing and reading his Bible. Tom was a Christian.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Ann Estep Ball.

Tom is survived by sons, Kevin (Dina) Ball of Athens, OH, and Scott (Bobbi) Ball of Shady Spring, WV; grandchildren, Chelsea (Ryan) Toscano, Lone Tree, CO, Jesse (Morgan) Ball of Cool Ridge, WV, Aaron (Haley) Ball of Daniels, WV and Michaela Ball of Athens, OH; great grandchild, Addy Ball of Cool Ridge, WV; sister, Patricia White of St. Albans, WV; niece,: Kim, Mechelle and Jeny; brother-in-law, John,

(Judy) Estep; sister-in-law, Deanna (Bennie) Halstead; and a host of family (Ball, Duty) and friends that will miss him.

Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Brian Harmon officiating.  Burial will follow in Memory Gardens on Low Gap Road, Madison, WV.

Visitation will begin at 1 pm on Saturday until service time at the funeral home.
