Lucy Iola Lynch, 83, of Wharton passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at her home.
She was born May 15, 1931 and was a daughter of the late George and Stella Williams Quisenberry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Lynch; son, Larry Lynch; three sisters; and two brothers.
She was a homemaker. She was a volunteer for Senior Citizens Community Center and a volunteer at area schools.
She is survived by children, Bill (Sherry) Lynch of Richland, Washington, Debbie (Bobby) Crawford of Wharton, Bob (Stephanie) Lynch of Carlsbad, New Mexico and Betty Brown of Wharton; daughter-in-law, Denise Messinger; sisters, Sylvia Sturtz, Joan Banks and Linda Pfleiderer; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A family graveside will be held 11a.m. Monday, April 20, 2015 at Montgomery Memorial Park, London, WV with Nathaniel Messinger officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Handley Funeral Home, Danville.
